Defence Minister visits CABNAVE and highlights maintenance of ships in Cape Verde
On April 15, 2025, Cabnave - Estaleiros Navais de Cabo Verde had the honour of receiving a visit from Her Excellency, the Minister of State and National Defence, Janine Lélis, as part of the ongoing work on the patrol vessel NP Guardião, reaffirming the company's role in ship maintenance in Cape Verde.
The Minister was accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Rear Admiral António Duarte Monteiro, and the Commander of the Coast Guard, Captain Armindo Graça.
During the visit, the delegation toured CABNAVE’s facilities, where they were able to take a closer look at the progress of the operations underway and learn about the technical capabilities of the team involved.
This visit underlines CABNAVE’s firm commitment and reaffirms its strategic and crucial role in ship maintenance in Cape Verde, an activity that is essential to the safety and development of the national maritime sector.
