On 8 July 2025, CABNAVE hosted an information session on the Skills Recognition, Validation and Certification Process (RVCC), promoted by the São Vicente Employment and Vocational Training Centre, as part of the National Qualifications System.
The aim of the session was to inform employees about this form of certification, which formally recognises skills acquired throughout life.

As part of the Padrinhos do Mar (Godfathers of the Sea) programme, CABNAVE has installed waste collectors in the Pedra de Doca coastal area.
The initiative, developed by our technical team, reinforces our commitment to environmental preservation and the promotion of cleaner coastal spaces.

On 7 June, Cabnave organised a coastal and underwater clean-up campaign at Pedra de Doca, with the support of partners and employees. The action, in anticipation of World Oceans Day, reinforces the company’s commitment to preserving marine ecosystems and combating pollution.

In the month dedicated to preventing high blood pressure, CABNAVE held a talk for its employees, focusing on raising awareness of the risks of the disease, ways of preventing it and adopting healthy habits. The action reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting health and well-being in the workplace.

CABNAVE was present at the Professions Fair 2025 – ‘The Future is Today’, held at the Jorge Barbosa School Pavilion. The initiative, promoted by the São Vicente School Delegation in partnership with the island’s secondary schools, aimed to bring students closer to the labour market and inspire them to build their professional future.

CABNAVE held an open discussion on finances, covering topics such as personal financial management, organising expenses, defining priorities and adopting savings habits. The initiative aimed to encourage the financial well-being of employees through simple and effective day-to-day practices.

Reinforcing its commitment to protecting the environment, CABNAVE – Estaleiros Navais de Cabo Verde, S.A., donated two Eco Sieves to the Cape Verde Olympic Committee on 8 November 2024. The initiative aims to support coastal clean-up actions and promote environmental awareness among the community.

As part of the Pink October campaign, CABNAVE – Estaleiros Navais de Cabo Verde, S.A., in partnership with Medicentro – Clínica de Especialidades, organised a talk dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer. The aim of the initiative was to raise awareness of the importance of prevention, early diagnosis and women’s health care.

In celebration of World Coastal Clean-up Day 2024, CABNAVE mobilised a team of employees for a clean-up campaign in the Pedra de Doca area. The aim of the action was to contribute to the preservation of the marine environment and to reinforce ecological awareness among employees.

With the aim of promoting better quality of life and well-being among its employees, CABNAVE – Estaleiros Navais de Cabo Verde, S.A. held exclusive boot camp sessions. The initiative encouraged regular physical activity, reinforcing the company’s commitment to health in the workplace.

In partnership with the Chã de Alecrim Health Centre, CABNAVE held a round table discussion on the prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s). The aim of the initiative was to make employees aware of the importance of information, taking care of their sexual health and adopting preventive behaviour.

CABNAVE held an open discussion on self-esteem and labour relations, where the impacts of self-esteem in the workplace were discussed. The meeting highlighted its influence on interpersonal relationships, professional performance and mental health, reinforcing the importance of emotional well-being in the workplace.

CABNAVE held an open discussion on the risks associated with alcohol abuse, with the aim of sensitising employees to the negative impacts of excessive consumption on both personal life and professional performance. The initiative reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting health and individual responsibility.

As part of the Regional Youth Forum 2024, held under the slogan “Incentives for entrepreneurship, employment and youth employability”, CABNAVE was visited by participants in the event. The initiative allowed young people to get a closer look at the reality of Cape Verde’s shipyards and explore career opportunities in the naval sector.

As part of Red June 2024, the month dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of blood donation, CABNAVE – Estaleiros Navais de Cabo Verde, S.A. organised an informative talk on the subject. The aim of the initiative was to sensitise employees to the solidarity act of donating blood and its vital role in preserving lives.

CABNAVE organised a clean-up campaign in the Pedra de Doca bathing area, a space sponsored by the company. The action reinforces CABNAVE’s environmental commitment and its active role in preserving the island’s public and coastal spaces.

On 4 June 2024, CABNAVE took over the sponsorship of Pedra de Doca in Mindelo, committing itself to cleaning, raising environmental awareness and improving the site, reinforcing its role in environmental protection and sustainable tourism.

CABNAVE was honoured with a diploma of thanks from Espia Primary School, in recognition of the support it has provided in maintaining school furniture. At the start of the 2023 school year, the company helped repair 70 desks, reinforcing its commitment to education and the well-being of students by providing better conditions for comfort and learning.

CABNAVE organised a talk on mental health, focusing on the importance of emotional balance and caring for the mind. The initiative emphasised the importance of mental health for daily well-being and for a healthier and more productive work environment.

As part of CABNAVE’s 40th anniversary celebrations, a walk was held to Mato Inglês in São Vicente. The aim of the activity was to promote socialising among employees and encourage healthy habits, reinforcing team spirit and well-being in the workplace.
