Defence Minister visits CABNAVE and highlights maintenance of ships in Cape Verde

Luxembourg ambassador visits CABNAVE as part of Cape Verde’s maritime economy
On 4 April 2025, Cabnave – Estaleiros Navais de Cabo Verde had the honour of receiving a courtesy visit from the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Cape Verde, Mr Jean-Marie Frentz, as part of his trip to São Vicente to visit prominent institutions linked to the maritime economy in Cape Verde, with a special focus on those operating out of the Port of Mindelo.
Minister of the Sea highlights naval training in Cape Verde during visit to Vigo
During his working visit to the Kingdom of Spain, the Minister of the Sea, Jorge Santos, accompanied by the Cape Verdean delegation and the Cape Verdean Ambassador to Spain, Dr Eduardo Jorge Silva, visited the Port of Vigo, where he held a working meeting with its President, Dr Carlos Botana Lagarón. One of the highlights of the visit was the discussion about naval training in Cape Verde, which is seen as a strategic vector for development.
